Collaboration on a Nezumo board with a laser pointer, media, GIFs, and task cards

More live collaboration on the board

This update completes a major group of roadmap items. Nezumo is now better suited to meetings, collaborative reviews, teaching, and media-heavy work. It is easier to direct attention, watch material together, and keep actionable tasks beside the ideas they came from.

We also made important progress on desktop: apps for macOS and Windows are now available, while a Linux build remains in development.

New

  • Laser pointer: draw attention to important parts of a board during presentations, calls, and reviews.
  • Animated GIFs: add motion for examples, reactions, instructions, and visual notes.
  • Synchronized media playback: start audio or video so everyone sees and hears the same moment.
  • Task cards: create a task with a title, description, state, and context right beside the relevant material.
  • Follow participants: follow another person’s actions so the group stays focused during a discussion or lesson.
  • Group alignment: align selected objects and make diagrams easier to scan.
  • Desktop apps for macOS and Windows: work in a dedicated app without unnecessary browser tabs.

Improved

  • Collaboration is more reliable, with fewer interruptions and clearer behavior during active multi-person sessions.

What’s next

Our next focus includes board export, richer access settings, versions, and change history. We are also continuing work on the desktop app, including the Linux build, while improving collaboration reliability across the product.
